HOW TO SHOP ONLINE
Hi and welcome to Romeo’s Online! This walkthrough has been designed to assist you in how to shop and will give you a step-by-step guide outlining the process from signing up as a new customer, to applying your coupon code and the final step in assessing your payment options, to checking out.
Firstly, thank you for taking the first step in placing your trust in our service. We are a proudly SA owned and operated company and are excited to bring the exceptional quality and outstanding service present in our stores onto an online platform. It gives us great satisfaction in having the ability to service the South Australian community and we hope to fulfill your needs throughout each shopping experience.
Creating an account for a new customer
To place an order you must create a new username. This is done via email, and can be found in the top right hand corner as ‘sign in’.
From here you are prompted to enter in your email address that you will use as the primary source of contact, and is the most important part required to create your account. Enter a valid address and then choose your password. If sign in has been successful you will be redirected back to the home screen. You are now registered to commence shopping!
Shopping and categories
The main shopping categories are located on the left, and once these are selected, you have the product lists in those selected categories that open on the right as pictured (Proudly SA products are highlighted red).
Filtering also can provide further enhancements to the category by specification. By clicking ‘specials’ it refines the product search.
Adding/Removing of products
To add products to your basket simply click ‘add’. Items per kilo are multiplied in 0.100g increments and items in each are multiplied individually. To remove simply click the subtraction button to work the multiplier in reverse. You can also manually enter in quantity amounts. In the illustration below two (2) bananas have been selected and added to the basket. If a note needs to be left for any reason, simply click the pencil icon on the bottom left to add a comment. For example, Bananas ripe please.
Essentially, products can only be removed from the basket once you have finished selecting all products and have clicked ‘review order and checkout’, unless you find them individually to remove. The list on the side of the screen gives you a live run sheet of any amendments you have made, and will tally your basket instantaneously.
Summary & Review
From here last minute changes can be made to your basket, including increasing or decreasing product quantities or removing the product from your order altogether. If for any reason you would like to start again and clear your basket simply click ‘empty basket’. If at any time during the shop you need to start over, use this function.
To proceed, click ‘checkout’.
From here you are taken to the delivery/pickup screen. If you intend to pick up your order select ‘I’ll pick up’. Pickup will then be arranged in our designated window (2-6pm). At present, pick up only exists at our flagship North Adelaide store, with more locations coming soon! * Once this is complete you can skip to the next step.
Otherwise, if you would like the order delivered, simply follow the instructions in ‘Please deliver’. In this case, we have entered in North Adelaide’s address.
If you live in an eligible location the details will be confirmed. If you are unsure the window will validate your address to confirm. Delivery instructions are also important and should be used to specify where to leave delivery or state what to do in case you may be absent on the arrival of delivery.
Select your timeslot for when delivery is desired. Your order can be set for a time in advance by selecting the required day tab. Once this is done ‘continue’ to the next window.
You will then be prompted to click ‘link my account for Romeo’s Rewards.
An external page or tab will now open where you log in and enter your details. If you have forgotten your username or password follow the directions under login.
NOTE: If you do not have a Romeo’s Rewards card you can pick up one at all Romeo’s stores and have it initialised for your next shop, with activation to be completed online at http://www.rewards.romeosrewards.com.au
If you decide not to link a rewards card simply click ‘continue without card’. No points can be claimed for this transaction without linking and validating your card. Card validation can be done at any time before or after a transaction for future reference on the home page by clicking your name like this and selecting Romeos Rewards:
Next step is substitutes for products. By default, substitutes are set as OK, meaning if any product is out of stock or we are unable to fulfill the quantity amount, the product chosen will be substituted with the closest possible match at around the same price (picker will choose best alternative and will always look in the best interests of the customer in the event of substitution). If you do not want substitutes simply click the purple box towards the right of the section ‘change this’. Products that are unavailable will subtract from the total bill if no substitutes are allowed.
Terms and Conditions (important)
To proceed further another important step is agreeing to the terms and conditions. Please read these carefully and note that you agree to the conditions bound by these rules and understand them completely. Once these have been agreed upon, click ‘I’ve read and agree to the terms and conditions’
The next window asks for a coupon code. For your first order use the coupon: ROMEOFREE to receive complimentary delivery. This will appear on your tax invoice as a discount. Keep an eye on Romeo’s mail outs and social media accounts for special offers that can be used in conjunction with this service in future.
Missing steps (how to go back)
In the event of skipping a step you can click on the right hand side to view or enter in missing fields. Eg. A missing coupon can be entered by clicking ‘I have a coupon!’ to still receive the discount. This can be performed at any step to view or add missing information in along the way.
Last step is to place your order by entering in your payment details. Currently, participating payment options are either VISA or MASTERCARD. Once complete ‘place your order’. A summary e-mail is then sent to your nominated address confirming your purchase. If you have missed anything in your basket simply click ‘keep shopping’ before you have placed your order to return to the store.
